One of the coolest things about Colorado Springs? The USOC!

So as I sit here in my  office pondering many a thing (It's snowing again in Colorado Springs - It's April 29th, BTW - Spring time in the Rockies!!), I catch myself staring at a building that I see every single day when I'm at the office.

A building that at first glance wouldn't be anything extraordinary...actually some might find it a bit out of place or just kinda"blah" since it sits in our historic and somewhat quirky downtown which is full of architectural diversity.  What happens inside this building is what matters. It's full of folks helping others achieve dreams.

I'm writing about the United States Olympic Committee.  It's right here - in Colorado Springs and it's right outside my office window - that's my view in the photo above. Pretty cool if you ask me! The committee (in its earliest form prior to the 1896 Olympic games in Athens, Greece) was founded in 1894, but located in Colorado Springs since 1978 when the USOC moved from New York City. It's been a cornerstone of what Colorado Springs is all about - inspiring all Americans to be the best they can be by achieving sustained competitive excellence (part of the USOC mission statement)!  Just a short drive or bike ride (or jog) away is the Olympic Training Center where many of our best Olympic athletes come to train for their specific sport.

Even more cool information? The U.S. Olympic Museum will be built right here in Colorado Springs sometime in 2018! Man, I love this city...We aren't the biggest, but we're the ONLY city to have the moniker - "Olympic City USA"

So, if you're pursuing your Olympic dream of being a gold medal winner in weightlifting or wrestling (or whatever sport you love) - or just want to move to our beautiful and inspiring city, give me a call. I'd love to give ya a tour!

Need a place to live while chasing your Olympic dream??
